ICA Traffic GmbH,
a sister company to ICA Chipkartensysteme GmbH & Co. KG, for several
years has been offering the most up-to-date ticketing technology as
leading international specialist. The core of its range of supply is
self-service ticket vending equipment for both stationary as well as
for on-vehicle environments. ICA Traffic GmbH draws its smartcard technology
expertise from that gained within the ICA Group to its production of
ticket vending equipment.

The automatic vending
machines in ICA’s DUALIS range are designed to be ready to accommodate
future technologies. These machines, while designed to issue conventional
paper tickets, can also handle electronic ticketing in the future.
Both contact and
contactless smartcard solutions can be supplied. The latest generation
of ticket vending equipment is designed to issue three different ticket
media in the one machine: conventional paper tickets, electronic magstripe
paper tickets and smartcards. Thus the requirements of both the classic
ticket vending machine and the latest developments in electronic ticketing
can be supplied in the one machine.
As well as providing ticket machines, ICA also has back office systems
in its product range. ICA offers its customers web-based solutions for
comprehensive revenue administration and accounting. Also links to existing
back office systems can be provided.
Standard interfaces
are also part of ICA’s management system. Satisfied customers include
national and local traffic authorities as well as up-and-coming forward
thinking rail organisations.
In 2005 ICA
became a supplier of ticket vending machines to Germany’s
State Railway, Deutsche Bahn. The co-operation
is continued in 2006 and this
being another important step in its history.
