ICA Traffic GmbH delivers on board ticket vending machines to German Railways for the regional line „Westliches Münsterland“

In 2008, ICA Traffic GmbH was awarded the contract as sole supplier for mobile ticket vending machines until 2013. The Germain Railways received in a new tender process the award of contract for the regional railway net „Westliches Münsterland“ with start of operation in December 2011. 34 vehicles of the type Bombardier VT 643 will be used. ICA Traffic GmbH will deliver mobile ticket vending machines of the type DUALIS 3000 MTA for these vehicles. The ticket vending machines are adapted to the requirements of the German Railways and feature cutting edge technology:

  • The user interface is designed as 15“ touch-display with a high luminosity of 800 cd.
  • To purchase a ticket has to be as easy, comfortable and as fast as possible. Thus, the operating steps of the mobile ticket vending machines will be similar to those of the stationary ones.
  • All means of payment (coins, banknotes and cashless payment) will be available.
  • Communication is realized via UMTS. The current position is identified by GPS.
  • An extra compact design of the ticket vending machines accounts for the given space- and mounting- situation but however allows the complete functional range of the stationary machines.
  • The housing is designed in heavy duty quality including an antigraffiti-lacquering, frontpanel with aluminum-layer and eloxalprinting of the pictograms.
